Day 27 - Mel Wade & Kate-Elaine Anderson - Harmony Vocals

I met miss Mel Wade about a year and a half ago at Great Basin Brewery by random chance. The next weekend I saw her play the big Made In Reno show, and we literally started planning a tour of the west coast together right then and there, just like that! She had never even seen me play live yet! But then again, maybe I'm just that damn persuasive! ;)

So tour we did! From Reno to Seattle and back we sung our hearts out to anyone who would listen! On that same tour we eventually picked up some straggler in Tacoma, Washington by the name of Green...really cool dude, but that's a whole other story!

Mel and I started a bond that I hope with all my heart will never break, because of what this girl means to me. She exudes light and love with every breath. And the world is a much better place with her in it.

Then there's our three way intersection with Army Chief Warrent Officer Kate-Elaine Anderson. I met Kate at Swill Coffee for their Songwriters In The Round showcase a month before we were slated to play it together. I befriended Kate before I knew this, telling her that she looks just like my cousin Kate...AND that strangely enough they have the same name! In an awkward moment, I had to explain that this was not a pick up line for obvious reasons. What a great way to start a friendship! Haha!

When Kate and I did play the Songwriters showcase the next month, Mel Wade (and Tovah Goodman, my videographer) shared the bill with us. Without any intervention from me, Mel and Kate gravitated towards each others music. Within a short period of time, they began writing some beautiful songs together which have since captured the heart of the whole town!

I'm proud to say that these girls have done an amazing job on my new record! Their hearts are solid gold, and their harmonies are angelic to say the least! Keep an eye out for some new songs by Mel and Kate in the near future, because really good things are coming!!!
